Ben Shanklin from Allegany High School in Cumberland took the top prize at the Maryland High School Juried Art Exhibition with “Conversation Medication,” which he created using a colored pencil, marker and ink.

Dr. Calvin Nobles, portfolio vice president and dean of the School of Cybersecurity and Information Technology at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) has been named to the Board of Directors of the Cybersecurity Association, further solidifying UMGC’s standing as a trusted partner in shaping the future of cybersecurity.

The Arts Program at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is currently hosting the third biennial Maryland High School Juried Art Exhibition, which represents the finest student artwork from across the state. The exhibition, which runs through April 6, celebrates the talents and unique perspectives of high school students statewide. The opening reception and awards presentation will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2, at the UMGC Arts Program Gallery, located in the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
